Make Lanterns with micro:bit(Nago City International Exchange Center)

On September 30, 2023, we held an event called “Make Lanterns with micro:bit” (Nago City International Exchange Center) to compare the world’s moon viewing.

10 children participated.

Thank you to the many volunteers who also supported the children.

We received 1,600 yen in donations, which will be used to fund CoderDojo Nago’s future activities. Thank you very much.

After inviting people from Asian countries who celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and introducing how they use their lanterns to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.

After hearing about lantern festivals in each country, the participating children drew pictures on paper lanterns.

Next, we learned how to program a lantern to emit light using the programming tool micro:bit.

Each of us made a paper lantern and lit it with a micro:bit.
